Zeigler and Kaser named to Best XI at NL PRO Orlando event

Alliance FC Academy ’06 Girls team was selected to compete in the 2022-23 National League PRO season. This consists of two events, one in Orlando, Florida and the other in Mesa, Arizona. At the Orlando event, the team went 1-1-1, with a tough loss for the last game. The success for the team was a total group effort but two of the girls were nominated for the events best XI at their positions out of 24 teams in their age group.

Preslee Zeigler is the team captain and the anchor of the defense playing in the mid-field. Preslee was instrumental during the weekend in the attack and defense, allowing only two goals through the first two games. Preslee played a part in 3 of the teams 5 goals at the 3-game event with 2 goals and an assist. This is Preslee’s second time being selected for the Best XI award.

  • “Orlando was a great event with amazing competition and talent. To be named to the Best XI amongst all of the talent at the event, is really an honor. I could not do what I do, without the help of my great teammates and coaching staff. I look forward to growing as a player and teammate. Our next goal is Arizona and advancing to Nationals!” – Preslee Zeigler

Finley Kaser is the goalkeeper and field general that led the team at the Orlando event. She recorded a clean sheet in the teams’ first game at the event. Finley had many highlight reel worthy saves that kept her team in all of the games. Finely provides a necessary composure that spreads through the team and provides leadership, vocally and through her actions.

  • “I feel honored to have been chosen for the Best XI for the NL PRO event. I am very thankful for my coaches and my teammates for the way they have challenged me over the past seasons to get me where I am. I am going to continue to train hard every day to become the best that I can be.” – Finley Kaser
